I heard and followed the caws and calls.

Found serious business in the tallest pine.

Branch to branch, a flapping, a flurry

Black beaks and wings against the blue.

Negotiating twixt needles and twigs

For pecking order or Tinder wins?

So many crows in the tallest pine that
